I was at the bar when my friend started talking about methanophiles. Also known as methanotrophs, these bacteria were discovered living at the bottom of ocean trenches, using methane as we do oxygen.

And then I thought to myself, since farts contain methane:

Turns out one being’s fart can be another’s oxygen.
